I have been reading a lot of posts online about
waiting. Waiting is so hard sometimes and it is even harder when worry is mixed in. Last night I went to the airport to pick up my friend and waited and waited for her to show up. Her flight had checked in at the gate when I checked in online but as the clock ticked and I waited and never heard from her I decided to check again. This time her flight no longer showed up. This made me worry. I called her. I texted her. I called again. I called the airport. I waited. I waited for about 2 hours and then decided it might be best to just go home and just wait there. I left. I waited. I worried. Finally I got a text back from my friend saying that she was not due till the next day. Relief ensued. My or her mistake, it did not matter. Even though I knew she was ok, the worry stuck around the rest of the night because it turned into what ifs. Its no fun to wait. No fun to worry either.
