I think I mentioned this before in a previous post but no matter I will say it again. Most all of mine and Alex's books are in storage and some days come around when I really miss them. Its not that I am going to pick them up and go read them its that when I look at them they bring back memories...like where I was when I was reading it, if I even liked the book and sometimes even what my state of mind I was in back then. One of my favorite books that I miss is Even Cowgirls get the Blues by Tom Robbins. A good friend gave it to me in college for Christmas and it was a time in my life when I was totally going thru my 1/4 life crisis. She wrote the most wonderful message on the front cover page and I kinda wish I could pick it up and read what she said. Tom Robbins is an outstanding author...he writes in ways that I could only dream of and he is the kind of writer where you copy down quotes and highlight sections. He writes books that you definitely want to read over again. My friend seemed to know that that book was just exactly what I needed...and that was one of the best gifts that I have ever received. It a wonder how sometimes that happens, you get just the right book at just the right time.
So....how cool are the pictures above?! Using all your books to make art. I love it.
