Mila's Daydreams

 Bookworm
 Pippi Longstocking

This morning before Alex left for work he said to me, you have to look up this blog that I wrote down next to the computer. Well, you know you have a keeper when this is what he was talking about.
I know Mila's Day Dreams have been floating around the Internet for a long while now but I could not help but share this little story. Love you babe.

Three

Hey friends, do you notice something different? Look again. Ok. I will tell you. I now have 3 columns on my blog. I have been trying to figure out how to do this for ages...I mean ages. I know next to nothing about codes...well, make that nothing. And did not like any of the 3 column templates that Blogger had to offer so with a little hunting and diligent cutting and pasting I followed these super helpful amazing directions form this blog and BAM...TWO became THREE!!!
I like it!

Tent - awning = beautiful

I wonder how the tent company would react if you rent a tent for your event but said you did not want the covering? Isn't this effect stunning. So architectural. It makes the chandeliers look even better, and I am sure it is sooo much cooler this way. Hey, if you were almost 100% sure it was not going to rain and there was a viable plan B option, I would totally do it!

Clean

I was on Brooklyn Bride's site today and came across this beautiful California wedding. Its so fresh and clean and modern. I adore the draping and the paper lanterns. So much impact with such a simple design. And succulents as center pieces are just cool. I think I would have loved to be a guest at this wedding. Ohh and the bride...such a beauty. For more images check on Brooklyn Bride's site.

Color Blast

This is what you call major color commitment...I don't think I could do it.

Prints

Such well put posters... I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The big move happens this weekend. I am ready to get it all done. My entire family is coming to help and my Mom said that we should just get it done real quick and then party! That is the plan.

I keep on procrastinating on packing up the kitchen...ahh...too many dishes.

On Sunday, I met up with some old dear friends who used to be neighbors but moved to Canada...they now have two boys and they are so cute that I could eat them right up. We just had to most wonderful breakfast together and openly dreamed about living close to each other again. Their flight home got delayed so I sent them real estate links and an article on why they should move to my new neighborhood. Old friends are the best. Hanging out with them, just really and truly warmed my heart.

I hope you all had a nice weekend...have a nice Monday!

clothespins....re-invented

Nifty clothespins, decorated with brightly colored arrows, are great for holding place cards, hanging art, or drying laundry. Go ahead and give them a shot.

J R Watkins

Every time I go to Target I pass by the J R Watkins brand of cleaning products and have to talk myself out of buying it. Sure, it was cool looking but right down the self is the dollar brand soap that I always buy. Well, the other day, I took the plunge and bought the Aloe & Green Tea hand soap and I could not be more happy with it. Even Alex loves it, we both love the packaging and it smellllllssss so good and it's made with all natural products and the soap does not dry my hands out. So cool, that I think it would make a great hostess gift.

light love

I am finding alot of light fixtures that I like today. Here is another beauty. I like the shade/color of this white...it is very soothing. Would be excellent of a kid's room. Or my room.

name in lights

Wouldn't it be great to get enough of these to spell you name out. A little on the cher side...but would be cute.

PS-I just realized that those are my sister's initials! Hi Julia!!!

I'll take one.

How cool is this rug, the design was inspired by grandma's old crochet projects. I wonder how it would feel under foot? I'll take the Eames chair too.

Games for Guests

I love this idea and color pallete. Creating a custom cross word puzzle about you and your love for you guest to work on during their meal. All you have to do is down load this free template at Variety Games and dress it up with a pretty pencil or pen and add it to every place setting. You could customize the pencil with your names and wedding date or color coordinate them to your theme.

how pretty is this wine bottle! so pretty!

Alex and I love to drink wine...red wine....Malbec to be exact. Sometimes when its my turn to go to the liquor store I often just pick the pretty looking bottles. I ignore the price, even the type and just pick it because it looks good and if it happens to have a cool name then that baby is coming home with ME!

Just so you know...

These cookies are HOME MADE!

Diagrams...

I am not usually a fan of diagrams...sometimes I feel they just create more confusion and I am just like tell me already. BUT, I really think this diagram from Sprinkles Cupcakes is pretty awesome. It is good looking, clean and tells you everything you need to know....now that is a good diagram that people could learn from. I now know that the cinnamon sugar cupcake is available everyday and I am almost certain that would be my favorite...I have never had one but that one sounds the best to me.

I am in love with a fan!

I just saw the Dyson Fan in person at Bed Bath & Beyond and I think I might have drooled. I was beautiful and perfect...just like its vacuum. Its bladless and produces just the right amount of sound. Its perfect for people with kids ( no need to worry about little fingers getting hurt here and so easy to clean) and those who love a design master piece.  Its also perfect for those with lots of cash to spare. There are two sizes and the small size is $300 the larger size is $330.

fish tiles

I was browsing about on Design Sponge and stumbled upon these awesome fish scales inspired tiles. I love how they look in the bathroom and I like how only one wall is done, an accent wall. I wonder how it would look if you did 3 different colors? Would it be more like a fish or too much? You can see more tile options on the Portland Cement Co. website.
