High Gloss

High Gloss Magazine debuted yesterday created in part by two of my favorite bloggers. Kyle from Knight Moves and Paloma from La Dolce Vita. Believe it or not this the first time I have ever read a e-magazine before. Magazine reading is one of my most favorite things to do and I have on purpose kind of avoided reading the e-versions. It is taking me a little getting used to but I am sure I will come around quickly. There is so much eye candy in High Gloss and I looking forward to reading it e-cover to e-cover! So, if you are design, fashion and beauty loving then you might just want to check it out.

I am looking to for a console table for the house to catch everything when Alex and I walk in the door. It needs to be slim, because there is not that much space to work with. I really like both of these options from west elm, but I am not sure which one I like better. The Parsons Console is fabulous because the Parson design is so classic and I love that is comes in white. I also love that it has drawers. The Rustic Acacia Console is also beautiful and I love that it has two shelves. It is more rustic than my usual taste but it might be nice to throw something so rustic into our more modern designed home. I seem to be very drawn to the white these days. I am a little over the wood look. What do you think? Help me. Or do you know of something better?

I stopped by Crate and Barrel the other day to check out a sofa my best friend just bought. She has been crushing on it for a long while and told me I had to go check it out because she was in love. Well, I checked it out and while there fell in love too with a couple of things. The Ankara chair stopped me mid stride and well could the Pirouette chair be any more grace and beautiful? Even the name won me over. I want both of them, and I would put them side by side and I would put the Jules Accent table in between and then everything would be perfect. The Starburst Mirror would be the icing on the cake and then I would be done. For now.

Swing Necklace

I saw this on Design Crush the other day and could not help but post it right away. It is just amazing and I would love to have this handmade swing necklace drape any door way in my home. Talk about a statement piece. It is designed and made by Johanna Richter and comes in either gray felt or oiled beechwood. Thanks Design Crush for adding one my thing to my wish list!!

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's home

This is Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's house. It is not as over the top as I thought it would be and it actually looks quite appealing. You know those celebrities....sometimes their abodes are just too showy and you have to wonder if they ever are really comfortable there. The Paltrow - Martin house just looks clean, neat, airy and wealthy...but in a good way. I love the kitchen, Apple's room is as sweet as her name and the pilates studio is well... just perfect. These photos are from 2007 so who knows what it looks like now but I am impressed. I'd live there....really, who wouldn't.

Isn't this bathing suit hook just to die for. It makes me miss living down the shore...When I have a house, I want THIS hanging in it! Perfect for summer and for those summer times memories. Did you know its supposed to be like 90 degrees this Sunday....wacky! I love it!
