Prints

Such well put posters... I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The big move happens this weekend. I am ready to get it all done. My entire family is coming to help and my Mom said that we should just get it done real quick and then party! That is the plan.

I keep on procrastinating on packing up the kitchen...ahh...too many dishes.

On Sunday, I met up with some old dear friends who used to be neighbors but moved to Canada...they now have two boys and they are so cute that I could eat them right up. We just had to most wonderful breakfast together and openly dreamed about living close to each other again. Their flight home got delayed so I sent them real estate links and an article on why they should move to my new neighborhood. Old friends are the best. Hanging out with them, just really and truly warmed my heart.

I hope you all had a nice weekend...have a nice Monday!

You say it's your birthday!

I am a big birthday card giver. If I love you to bits then you will usually get more than one card. I love birthdays. For some reason all the most important people in my life seem to be born in September. Most but not ALL. I try my hardest to keep everyone straight and am just smitten with this birthday calendar from Linda & Harriett that I saw on Design Crush a bit ago.  My birthday is not too far away so if anyone can't decide what to get me....then I wouldn't mind this. Just saying!

how pretty is this wine bottle! so pretty!

Alex and I love to drink wine...red wine....Malbec to be exact. Sometimes when its my turn to go to the liquor store I often just pick the pretty looking bottles. I ignore the price, even the type and just pick it because it looks good and if it happens to have a cool name then that baby is coming home with ME!

Branding

Last Wednesday I went to an Event Planning Seminar in New York City and met a woman who was a graphic designer that wanted to get into Special Event Planning in the form of Graphic Branding. I really thought that was a genius idea. Branding is a powerful tool even in the smallest of forms. I think for any event especially weddings this idea of branding could really come into play. Starting with the invitations all the way to the favors, the programs, the name cards to the napkins you could brand the couple you and your "to-be" are about to become. You already do this a little bit with you select a color scheme but why not take it a few steps farther.

Sometimes I wish that I went to school for graphic design instead of interior design. I like making perfect little packages of pretty things that go together. Its like staging a room. I love when everything comes together and has its place and looks just so.

All of this bring me to this fabulous graphic designer that I saw on my ever favorite blog Twig & Thistle. Jordan Gray Creative came up with this Restaurant Branding and I think it is fantastic. Its clean and modern and still friendly and fun. I want to dine there and thats the whole point. If this restaurant put this much thought in its branding can you imagine how great their food must be. I love the colors....gray and yellow (my wedding colors!!) and I wish I could come up with such cool ideas. So feast your eyes on these works of art.
