Today marks six years that Alex and I have been together! I just can not believe how fast the time has gone. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful person in my life. Thanks Crystal and Cory for the nudges in the right direction! Alex, love you more and more each day.

Hooray

I know Halloween is over but it is still Fall and people are still going to be decorating with pumpkins until after Thanksgiving. I am just not of fan of fall decor. Pumpkins and gourds are just ugly and tacky to me.  I have yet to see it done right or tastefully, or modern or ever in a way that I would want to re-create. Until...now. I was was over on the blog Hooray and literally was blow away on how beautiful Alli put together her "mock Halloween" party decor. Her color combo of white, silver, gold and grays is just stunning and I could not be more impressed with the clean, simple and attractive ideas. Well done Alli! When the time comes for me to host Thanksgiving or a Fall party I will be looking to you. Check out her post for more details.

Hey friends, do you notice something different? Look again. Ok. I will tell you. I now have 3 columns on my blog. I have been trying to figure out how to do this for ages...I mean ages. I know next to nothing about codes...well, make that nothing. And did not like any of the 3 column templates that Blogger had to offer so with a little hunting and diligent cutting and pasting I followed these super helpful amazing directions form this blog and BAM...TWO became THREE!!!

OK people, you know how I love owls...well I just got a wonderful comment the other day from a blog called My Owl Barn and this blog is totally devoted to the most wonderful collection of all things owl. Please note the most fantastic owl ring above!! To die for. It is from Juicy and currently sold out but you can still get it on ebay...It a very hot item..so hot that it quickly bid out of my budget. The other day I was listening to NPR and they talked about this website called "I write like". You copy in an example of your writing/blog/tweet into the website and it will analyze your words and tell you which famous writer you write like. I was very excited to see what would come up. My first text results came up with David Foster Wallace...I have no idea who this is and have not read any of his work. So, I decided I would try another sample of text from my blog. Well, the second time...it came up with Stephenie Meyer...I again did not know who this was...then I did a little research...and man...I about cried. The author of Twilight...just kill me. I am not a fan. Granted I have not read the books, but I saw the first movie and that was enough for me. Maybe if I were to read the books, I might feel a little better but right now...I. JUST. DON'T. But wait...maybe I am such a good writer, that one day millions will read my blog. Ok, I feel better.
